I haven't always been a potter, in some of my past lives I've been a CEO, a social worker, a community development worker and a nurse. I've lived in many countries, like the Phillipines where we lived for 9 years when the children were young, then the UK for a year and Australia for periods of time. I've also lived in every large city of New Zealand, and finally come to rest in Whanganui. After so much change throughout my life, my studio is my sanctuary and the place I now feel at home.
But I also love that pottery connects me with people. I don't do this just to sell stuff, but also to connect. You get to see me and what I do, and hopefully I get some connection with you. It truly thrills me that I might make something in my home/backyard, that might end up in yours and bring you joy.
